Ulla Karsikas

Ulla Karsikas is an Art Educator (MA) and works as a Teacher of Weaving in vocational institution. She has worked for The Friends of Finnish Handicraft for 15 years as a Production Manager and is the Chairperson of the association since 2017. She has written a book about rya rugs: ”Ryijyn taikaa: Opas ryijyn suunnitteluun ja valmistukseen” and lectures about the history of The Friends of Finnish Handicraft. She is fascinated by the history of the association and by the opportunity to revive its activities.
